The main supplies that you need to make some great looking cards include paper or cardstock, a stamp, and as many different colors of ink that you feel like. It is a good idea to start off only creating easy stamp because the more complex one may take a bit of trial and error to perfect.

Another great way of using rubber stamps is to use them in conjunction with scrapbooking. A lot of people do this and adding some personal touches to a family scrapbook will give a lot of warmth to basic pages. The stamps can be put directly onto any photos that are attached to the scrap book or can be stamped onto separate pieces of paper then cut and glued into the scrapbook.

Make sure that if you make any stamps that you do not like, don't throw them out. You may find later on that you are doing a project and the stamp would be perfect for it. Make sure that when making stamps for friends and family you do not get caught up in making everything look perfect. Any 'mistakes' that you think stick out like a sore thumb might only make the project look much more personal to the people that you are giving it too. The old adage practice makes perfect applies to this craft as well. You will learn much more from doing and making mistakes than you ever will from trying to learn through reading or watching other people. So get out there and have a go.
