Craft Project - Cress Eggheads

If you've never made eggheads with your kids, you have no idea the fun you're missing out on. This is a fantastic craft project idea you can do as a family. Here's what you need:

· Clean eggshells

· Fabric, yarn

· Colored paper scraps

· Toilet paper roll- cardboard tube

· Popsicle sticks

· Cotton balls

· Cress or grass seeds

· Buttons, stickers and sequins

· Paint

· Paintbrushes

· Color markers

· Scissors

· Glue

When you've gathered all of your supplies, be sure the eggshells have the tops taken off and then get ready to begin. You will need one popsicle stick for each egghead you're going to make.

Begin by cutting the popsicle stick in half and gluing the two pieces to the bottom of the tube. Then you want to balance the egg shell on the top of the tube for the head.

Paint or draw a face onto your egg. It can be a man, woman, girl, boy or even a pet or other animal. Use stickers and buttons to decorate the tube for the body. Fabric can be used to make clothing and you can paint the feet.

Now fill the top of the eggshell head with cotton and carefully sprinkle in some water. Now add the cress seeds and put your egghead in a dark place. Give it some time (a few days) and wait for the green shoots to start to appear. At the first sign of grass, move the eggheads to a sunny place (such as a windowsill) and continue to sprinkle with water every day.

That's it!
